Mmmmm….The anticipation of fall leaves sprinkled generously over the King’s Garden this weekend was such a sight to see…I stopped to savor the temporary palate of amber yellow, rustic red and brick orange colors that magically warmed up the crisp, cold air.

After frolicking about the park, asking perfect strangers to photograph my best friend and I, we decided to start our Sunday with a lovely brunch, and lively conversation…After several cafe lattés and some leisurely knitting, we continued our conquest of a well deserved jour du repos…

Our brisk walk took us to the most precious Book Cafe not far from the center of town. Here you will find a lavish collection of books, sandwiched between arched ceilings and dark, wooden floors inviting you in for a cozy coffee and a good read. It did not take us long to find our nook and open a book :)

Back home we came to bake some breads for the week, soak our feet and dive into several consecutive episodes of MadMen, our latest obsession…The pink roses on my window sill so humbly captured the essence of a weekend well spent, and serve for a perfect upcoming-weekly inspiration: A subtle scent of earth and a delicate fragrance, emitted from the mystifying depths of les belles fleurs…Here’s to simple strength, delicate perspectives, and nature’s blessings…Bon week-end!
