Last night the Royal Danish Ballet put Christopher Wheeldon’s Sleeping Beauty to rest after 23 enchanting performances of foreign princes, spindles and fairytale magic. It was a truly spellbinding experience, and I can only say that I cherished every moment. From costume fittings to late night rehearsals, stage calls, photo shoots and performances, each one more engaging and enthralling than the last. It was an honor to work amongst so many talented individuals and artists, each who had their own way of spreading and sharing the magic provided by a classic story and mythical setting. So here is to my fellow dancers, incredibly talented choreographers and stagers, seamstresses, and designers who contributed so much to this fairytale. It was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish…
