February. A short month of pungent passion, chocolate and all things pink, red and ripe. How I love an excuse to bake for loved ones, sit back and savor the anticipation of the mid-month marker we like to call Valentine’s Day. I have tempting recipes spilling from every magazine and cookbook on my shelf… Quelle Surprise!

But where to start? Let’s have a cup of tea and ponder the possibilities…

I’ll start with a savory salad of Warm Pears, Caramelized Onions and Field Greens — an homage to my recent visit to New York City.
