Last night was the final round up of our 14 performance-marathon of A FolkTale over at the Opera. Gone are the days that we hop on the boat for a brief trip across the canal to our newest theater…until next season, that is.

It has been a magical run of headless creatures, extravagant troll parties and elf whirlpools, and alas our elaborate costumes will now be shipped off to America where we will re-visit daunting darkness in Washington, D.C. this summer.

We are now rehearsing our final program of the Season here in Copenhagen…A lovely mixed rep of TuTu ballets, each more enticing than the next…Stay tuned for behind the scenes prep work leading up to the Premiere on April 30th!

On the ‘deck’ of the Canal Shuttle, the boat that takes us to and fro the Nyhavn Canal to the Opera House.

The “Skuespilhuset”, or PlayHouse is on the left, is the main stage for the Actors of the Royal Theater. The ballet often performs more contemporary works here. The Opera pictured on the right houses most of our larger-scale productions, including A FolkTale & Swan Lake among others…
