This week, during Boston Ballet’s tour to London (the first in 30 years!) I will have the great pleasure to perform George Balanchine’s Serenade & Symphony in Three Movements in our First Program at the Coliseum. Given the busyness & buzz of our schedule here in the UK, I won’t elaborate on much else, but I’ll leave you with a fun little photo collage of the memories I have performing this breathtaking piece of genius choreography…5 stages, 3 countries, 1 timeless Tchaikovsky score…It continues to hold a special place in my heart.
And a little homage to the great leotard ballet set to Stravinksy….
And just for funsies….
serenade: noun. a piece of music sung or played in the open air, typically by a man at night under the window of his lover.
