There are some (most) mornings when I just can’t get enough of breakfast – Undoubtedly my favorite genre of culinary offerings… breakfast allows you the chance to awaken your palate and fuel up for the day ahead – and what better way to begin your day than with a foamy fall latté and various accompaniments? While I try to change it up, most mornings at my house offer bowls of greek yogurt, topped liberally with various granolas, delicately sliced, seasonal fruits and generous doses of honey (lavender lately :) …usually a spoonful or two of peanut/almond butter incorporates its way in… Other mornings call for  a crispy croissant (shout out to Tatte Bakery) or a power smoothie, served with decorated toast. Now that October has arrived, the cooler weather might inspire hearty bowls of oatmeal (morning menu {act II})… Which morning tastes inspire your daily palate?

For a little autumn inspy, I thought I’d leave you with a recipe below and un petit homage to breakfast on Tutus&Tea…. Bon Appetite!

bottomless cuppas & breakfast bounty ~ p.e.

Blue Breakfast Smoothie:

1 cup soy/almond milk

1 big handful of spinach

1/4 avocado

1/4 cup frozen blueberries

3-4 chunks of frozen pineapple and frozen mango

1/3 chunk of frozen banana

a handful of walnuts

a spoonful of {green} matcha powder

a good squeeze of honey

a delicate sprinkle of cayenne pepper (this is the money maker, but a little goes a loooong way)

Combine ingredients in a powerful blender (I’m obsessed with my vitamix – See Green {juice} above) and blend to smooth(ie) perfection. Bottoms up!
